Keen Oregon PCT Boot Quick Update – Winter Conditions

IMG_0485

I was out doing a 12 km winter hike in one of my favorite areas, Pot Lake Loop on The Bluff wilderness trail system. Normally I would wear a winter boot but given the conditions that were sunny and around the freezing point I opted for the more comfortable Oregon PCTs and my Katoola microspikes as a back-up. I have to say that the Keen’s on packed snow and ice was as good as any winter boot I have ever used. It was so good I didn’t need to put on the microspikes. As far as warmth I wear a wool sock so my feet stayed warm. Stay tuned for spring and summer updates on the boots
